Rouine Lancaster Luton, age 92, passed away on Friday, January 6, 2023, following a short illness at Tennova Medical Center. Mrs. Luton was born April 20, 1930, to the late Elmer and Ida Lancaster in Bumpus Mills, TN. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wilton Luton after 61 years of marriage, and two brothers, Lowell and Bobby Lancaster.
Mrs. Luton is survived by son, Larry Luton (Clara); daughter, Sharon Barrett; four grandchildren, Tracy Morgan (Kevin), Kevin Luton (Jamie), Patrick Barrett (Courtney), Brent Barrett (Sarah); six great-grandchildren, Kayla and Landon Luton, Cole, Peyton, Ella, and Hunter Barrett; two sisters, Rita Potts and Norma Isenhour (Joe).
Mrs. Luton was longtime member of Hilldale Church of Christ and retired from Bank of America in 1995 after 35 years of employment.
Visitation will be held at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home on Tuesday, January 10, 2023, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at 1:00 p.m. with Minister Steve Kirby officiating. Pallbearers will be Mrs. Luton’s grandchildren, Tracy, Kevin, Patrick and Brent, Kevin Morgan, and Keith Swafford. Great-grandchildren, Kayla, Landon, Cole, Peyton, Ella, and Hunter will be honorary pallbearers.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Hilldale Church of Christ, Clarksville, TN of Churches of Christ Disaster Relief Fund.
