DICKSON, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Rossview Hawks traveled to Dickson County High School on Wednesday for the Region 7-4A championship softball game against the Cougars. The Hawks couldn’t get much going offensively, and fell 10-0 to the Cougars, sending them on the road to face the Collierville Dragons on Friday night in a sub-state game.
“Tough loss tonight, the fatigue from last night’s big win got us,” said Hawks head coach Travis Gillette. “We will regroup and travel to Collierville for another step in our journey. One game at a time. Hats off to the young ladies at Dickson County on their win.”
The Hawks aren’t done yet, however, and travel to Collierville on Friday in a win-or-go-home game against the Dragons, with a trip to the state tournament on the line. Rossview has one last game to keep their season alive, and face a tall task, but with a win, they would earn the second state tournament birth in program history.
