Ronald Russell McKinney, age 76, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Monday, October 28, 2024.
Ron was born June 5, 1948, in Marion, NC, to Russell and Lenny McKinney.
In 1978, Ron moved to Clarksville with Barclay’s American Credit, where he had the number one office in the southern region. After Barclays, he went to work at Northern Bank as Vice President, where he was eventually named City President. From there, Ron ventured into the car business and ended his career as manager of First Industrial.
Ron was heavily involved in the local community. He was a member of First Baptist Church. He completed the Leadership Clarksville program amongst other involvements including Boy Scouts of America, President and Coach for Clarksville Little League, Coach for Babe Ruth Baseball, CJBL basketball league, and past President of Clarksville Country Club.
Ron is preceded in death by his parents, Russell and Lenny McKinney, wife, Ila Good McKinney, and brother, David McKinney.
Visitation will be held at Neal Tarpley Parchman Funeral Home on Friday, November 1, 2024, from 4:00 -6:00 PM. Service and burial will be held in North Carolina.
He is survived by his son, Chad D. McKinney (Rhonda); two grandchildren, Callie McKinney and Cassie McKinney; sister-in-law, Marilyn McKinney; and nephews, Joshua McKinney and Zachary Richardson (Morgan).
