Ronald Richard Hogan Sr., of Brentwood, Tennessee went to be with the Lord February 11, 2014 following an extended illness of Alzheimer’s disease.

A Funeral Mass in celebration of his life will be held at noon Saturday, February 15th at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church Chapel, with Father John Sims Baker officiating. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memorial Gardens. The Hogan family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. Rosary will take place from 11:30 a.m. until the hour of the service on February 15th at the church Chapel.

Ronald entered this life February 18, 1939 in Columbus, Ohio, son of the late Bert Hogan and Eleanor Landes Hogan Shaw (Dave Shaw) of Columbus, Ohio. He was a graduate of Aquinas High School in Columbus, Ohio.

Ronald was a veteran of the United States Air Force Reserves. He retired from Archway Cookies where he held many positions for over 30 years including National Military-West Sales Manager. Ronald was a member of Immaculate Conception Church of Clarksville, Tennessee.

Ronald loved sports, especially football. He loved to support the teams where his children attended college; Vanderbilt, Middle Tennessee and Alabama. He was a collector of all sorts of memorabilia, especially NASCAR. He was often seen photographing old fire trucks. Ronald also loved attending Mass where he would lector and usher.

Survivors include his wife of 54 years, Shirley Ann Sedlock Hogan. His children; Ronald Richard Hogan Jr. and wife Becky Hogan of Southside, Alabama, Christine Hogan Bryant and husband Scott Bryant of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Andrea Kathleen Hogan and husband Philip Shepard of Asheville, North Carolina. His grandchildren: Victoria Marie Hogan, Hogan Scott Bryant, Collin Patrick Bryant and Claudia Kathleen Hogan.

Serving as pallbearers will be family and friends.

The family would like to thank the many caregivers at Spring Meadows Nursing Home for their years of kindness to Ronald.
