Ramona passed away on Tuesday, September 11, 2018 at her residence.
Funeral service for Ramona James, age 85 of Ashland City, will be Saturday, September 15, 2018 at 1:00PM. Bro. Terry Forrest will officiate. Burial will follow in the Nanney Hollis Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Friday, September 14, 2018 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM and again Saturday from 11:00AM until the time of service.
She was born on May 16, 1933 in Montgomery County, TN to Vernon and Louise Brake. Ramona was a loving mother, grandmother, and loved her dog, Misty. In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 40 years, John James, and brothers; James Brake and Chester Brake.
Ramona is survived by her sons; Buford James, Cecil (Kay) James, and Ricky (Janet) James, daughter Tammy James, brothers; Sam and Billy Brake, sisters; Francis Haley, Virginia Harrison, and Devona Nanney, 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
