CHRISTIAN, Ky. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) plans a series of rolling road blocks with brief traffic stoppages along Interstate 24 in CHRISTIAN County on Sunday morning, September 11, 2016.
A series of 4 rolling road blocks are planned along I-24 for both eastbound and westbound traffic approaching the 92 mile marker starting at 7:00 a.m., CDT, on Sunday. Each of the rolling road blocks will slow and halt traffic for approximately 15 minutes to allow replacement of high voltage transmission lines at I-24 mile point 92.052 in Christian County.
This TVA power transmission line crossing is approximately 2/10ths of a mile west of the Kentucky Welcome Center near the Kentucky-Tennessee State Line.
Police will be assisting with the rolling road blocks and traffic stoppages at this site.
This planned traffic stoppage is scheduled for Sunday morning during off-peak travel. However, Sunday is the Tennessee Titans first home game of the regular season. Football fans and others who may have a specific arrival time in mind should plan accordingly.
Motorists should use appropriate caution when encountering the rolling road blocks and traffic stoppages on Sunday morning.
