Roger B. Baker, 82, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Thursday, August 6, 2015, at Alive Hospice Residence in Nashville, TN.

Roger was born on October 2, 1932, in Widen, WV to the late Ralph Baker and Ruey Morris Baker. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Rita Potts; daughter-in-law, Terri Hackney; and brother, Richard Baker.

Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, August 10, 2015 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Dr. John David Laida and Rick Hackney officiating. Burial will be in Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY with full military honors. Visitation will be held from 1 p.m. until 3 p.m. on Sunday, August 9, 2015 and from 9 a.m. until the hour of service on Monday, August 10, 2015 at the funeral home.

Roger was a U.S. Army Veteran, having retired with the rank of Sgt. 1st Class. He was an avid golfer, card player, fisherman, and was a great bowler.

Roger is survived by his son, Rick Hackney of San Antonio, TX; two daughters, Robin (Mike) Gilder of St. Peters, MO and Rhonda Adams of Clarksville, TN; beloved friend, Anne Murphy of Clarksville, TN; brother, Ronnie Baker of Albuquerque, NM; eight grandchildren; and twenty great-grandchildren.
