Robertson County traffic stop seizes heroin, marijuana, and a semi-automatic rifle

SPRINGFIELD, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Robertson County Sheriff’s Office made a surprising discovery during a traffic stop Tuesday.

The traffic stop occurred in front of Springfield Inn, leading to the arrest of Garrett Lynn Rains, Jr. The 27-year-old Springfield man was charged with Possession of Schedule I Drug for Resale, Possession of a Firearm during the Commission of a Dangerous Felony, and Failure to Appear.

While searching the vehicle deputies found four-grams of suspected heroin packaged for resale, marijuana, scales, needles, paraphernalia, two loaded handguns, and a loaded semi-automatic rifle.

Rains is being held in the Robertson County Detention Facility.

Rains has a total $17,500 bond.
