Roberta (Bobby) W. Taylor, age 83 of Cumberland City, TN passed away Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at her residence after a lengthy illness. A celebration of her life will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, August 27, at the Nave Funeral Home chapel in Erin, TN, with Dr. Ted Denny and Bro. Ernie Arnold officiating.
Family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Monday, and from 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday. Ms. Taylor was Born August 22, 1929 in Philadelphia PA, the daughter of the late Francis David Woolfenden and Sally Heddy Woolfenden Cox. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years Josephus Taylor JR.
Roberta was a life member of the VFW Ladies Auxillary, and a member of Erin Church of The Nazarene.
Previously from NJ, she was an avid quilter and crafter. She was the happiest when doing for others and surrounded by family and friends.
Roberta is survived by two daughters Virginia MacCallum of Erin, TN, Donna Jackson of Palmyra, TN, two sons Service Taylor, SR. of WV, and Josephus Bushong-Taylor of MD. Four grandsons John Beaver III, William Barclay II, Service Taylor, JR., and Jackson Bushong- Taylor. Three granddaughters Rachel Taylor, Heather Hite, and Jordan Bushong -Taylor. Three great-grandchildren Reilly Beaver, Colby Beaver, and Avery Beaver. Further survivors include three brothers George Cox of TN, Raymond Cox of NJ, and Samuel Cox of PA., and one sister Rosella Vile of NJ.
Pallbearers will include John Beaver, William Barclay, Howard Cox, Jeff Akin, Michael Denny, and Randy Jackson.
