Robert Ronald Holland, age 71 of Hixson, Tenn., passed away on July 5, 2021.
He was born February 23, 1950 in Pendleton, Ore. to the late Robert L. Holland and Patricia Potts Holland. He leaves us with full hearts of love. He devoted his life to serving others, enlisting into the U.S. Air force in 1970.
After serving for 20 years, he devoted another 20 years to the Department of Defense, and he helped others just the same. His off time resulted in fishing, playing poker, woodshop activities and enjoying the casinos. Robert included others as much as possible.
He is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Holland. He is survived by his wife, Deborah Carroll Holland; daughters, Summer Holland and Lindsey Vaughn; brothers, Garry Holland, Kevin Holland and Larry Holland; sister, Sherri Pausian; three grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life service was held Saturday, July 10 at the chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home with Rev. John Mark Thomas officiating. Visitations were held Friday, July 9 and Saturday, July 10. Interment followed at Resthaven Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
