A Celebration of Life service for Robert Edward Thompson, Jr., age 77, of Clarksville, TN, will be Thursday, May 16, 2024, at 11:00 AM at Hilldale United Methodist Church. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the hour of service.
Robert was born on October 8, 1946, in Jacksonville, FL, to Robert Sr. and Virginia Thompson. He passed away on May 13, 2024. Robert was a veteran of the United States Navy and an accountant. He enjoyed serving at his church, Hilldale United Methodist, where he had a been a member for many years. Robert, along with his wife Ann, enjoyed camping, being out on the lake, biking, and riding motor scooters. He was also a huge fan of the Florida Gators.
In addition to his parents, Robert is preceded in death by his stepdaughter, Ann Marie Pittenger. He is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Sarah “Ann” Thompson; daughters, Kim (Earl) Arnold and Karen (Scott) Hoskins; grandchildren: Rhett Arnold, Landon Arnold, Katie Beth Hoskins, and Cameron Hoskins; and sisters, Cheryl Moore and Karen Harlow.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hilldale United Methodist Church.
