Robert Ross Bumpus, age 69, of Clarksville, passed away peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family, on Thursday, April 3, 2014. He was born in Montgomery County, to the late Clyde Bumpus and Anna Swift Bumpus. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Jewell Hayes and Jean Kreaske.
Ross was a retired expeditor with Trane Company, after 37 and a half years of service. He was a member of Christ Fellowship, an avid golfer, and a loving husband and father.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date, at Christ Fellowship.
Mr. Bumpus is survived by his wife of 49 years, Brenda Ott Bumpus; son, Kevin Bumpus, of Clarksville; daughter, Kathy (Frank) Lepkowski, of Clarksville; four brothers, David (Carol) Bumpus, of Clarksville, Hank (Gayle) Bumpus, of Florida, Frank (Shirley) Bumpus, of Ohio, and Don (Julie) Bumpus, of Georgia; sister, Dell (Charles) Clark, of Ohio; four grandchildren, Brooke (Justin) James, Paige (Justin) Johnson, Matthew Ross Lepkowski, and Emmalee Bumpus; and two great grandchildren, Julia James and Penny Johnson, including one on the way.
