Robert Allen Marshall, age 91, of Clarksville, passed away Thursday, July 7, 2016, at Clarksville Nursing & Rehabilitation.
Robert was born January 16, 1925, in Caswell County, NC, to the late John Marshall and Leoda Carter Marshall. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Virginia L. Martin Marshall.
Robert was retired from the US Army, having most recently served as a chief warrant officer. He worked for the City of Clarksville for 22 years and was a member of Hilldale Baptist Church for 26 years, serving with the Homebound Ministry.
Funeral service will be held Sunday, July 10, at 2:00 PM, at the Chapel of Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, with Dr. Larry Robertson officiating. Burial will follow at Riverview Cemetery.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 9, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and Sunday, July 10, from 1:00 PM until the hour of service, at the funeral home.
Robert is survived by three daughters, Lorie Marshall (Jeff) Davis of Mechanicsburg, PA, Brenda Marshall of Tulsa, OK, and Patricia (Jimmy) Russell of Clarksville, TN; five grandchildren, Patricia Hillery, Bradford Davis, Kimberly Bond, William Russell, and Tiffany Stewart; and twelve great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be Steve Hillery, Bradford Davis, David Bond, William Russell, Eric Stewart, Patrick Hillery, and Daniel Hillery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Hilldale Baptist Church Building Fund, 112 Lois Lane, Clarksville, TN 37043.
