UPDATE: Dylan Shane McDaniel was taken into custody overnight and jailed on $250,000 bond.

CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville police have confirmed that F&M Bank in the 1800 block of Madison St. was robbed Wednesday around 8:45 a.m.

Immaculate Conception School and Barksdale Elementary School were placed on a modified lockdown as a precaution as of 9:30 a.m. while police searched the area for the suspect.

The suspect fled the scene on foot with money from the bank. Carrie Hill, a witness in the area, said she saw the suspect at approximately 9:25 a.m. hiding behind a trash can behind KFC on Madison St. while aiming a gun at police officers.

The suspect was later identified as 18-year-old Dylan Shane McDaniel and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. McDaniel was last seen in an older model red Chevy Tahoe. It is unknown if he owns the vehicle. McDaniel is believed to be armed because the firearm used in the robbery has not been recovered.
