CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Clarksville police have arrested three people following a robbery investigation involving prostitution on Feb. 15.

Gary Heitzenrater, 36, was text messaging a woman named Brook Walker, 40, on “OneBackPage.com” and agreed to meet at a local hotel and have sex in exchange for money, according to a news release from Jim Knoll, spokesman for CPD.

Once inside the room, Heitzenrater placed $140 on the counter.

Shortly after that, Walker made an excuse to leave the room and when she left, a man who was hiding in the closet, Levi Thornton, 22, came out the closet with a hatchet.

Thornton allegedly told Heitzenrater to leave the money and get out of the room. When Heitzenrater demanded his money back, Thornton threw some money at him and Heitzenrater grabbed the money and left.

Once he left, Heizenrater realized the money was counterfeit and called police.

Officer Koziol’s investigation revealed the phone number listed in the ad came back to Walker’s phone, a hatchet was located inside of the room and the counterfeit money was seized.

All three were arrested and booked into the Montgomery County Jail.

Levi Thornton was charged with aggravated robbery. His bond was set at $25,000.

Brooke Walker was charged with criminal conspiracy and promoting prostitution. Her bond was set at $27,000.

Gary Heitzenrater was charged with patronizing prostitution. His bond was set at $500.

Officer Koziol was the investigator.
