CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Road closures for this week have been announced for the 13th Annual Rivers & Spires Festival in downtown Clarksville. The following streets will be closed:
Wednesday, April 15 Beginning at 7 a.m.
Public Square in front of F&M Bank
Thursday, April 16 Beginning at 7 a.m.
All of Public Square
Franklin Street from First Street to Public Square
First Street from Franklin Street to Main Street
Strawberry Alley
Friday, April 17 Beginning at 7 a.m.
On Friday, Downtown will be blocked off from Public Square to Fourth Street and Madison Street to Main Street.
The streets will be closed all day Saturday and until 7 a.m. Sunday morning, April 19.
Vehicles parked in the following areas are subject to being towed beginning Thursday at 7 a.m.:
First St. from to Main St. to Franklin St.
Franklin St. from Public Square to First St.
Strawberry Alley from First St. to Second St.
Vehicles parked in these additional areas are also subject to being towed from Friday at 7 a.m. through late Saturday night:
First St. from Franklin St. to Commerce St.
Franklin St. from First St. to 4th St.
2nd St. from Main St. to Commerce St.
3rd St. from Main St. to Madison St.
Hiter St. from Franklin St. to Madison St.
Strawberry Alley from 2nd St. 3rd St.
Public Square from Main st. to the fountain
*Note: Police will attempt to contact vehicle owners and use towing only as a last resort.

Clarksville Transit System
Clarksville Transit Center will be closing their Legion Street station during the Festival. On Friday, April 17 and Saturday, April 18, the alternate staging area for the Clarksville Transit Center will be behind the Disciples of Christ Church on Cooper Place, between Union and Academy Streets. The routes themselves will not change and any questions can be directed to 931-553-2429. Service from the Legion Street Station will resume as normal on Monday, April 20.
Parking
Available parking includes: Cumberland Garage; APSU lots off University Avenue; First Baptist Church lot off of Commerce Street; and all bank lots beginning Saturday. Handicapped parking is available in the parking garage off Commerce Street in front of the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Department on the first level. It is accessible from Riverside Drive. Please be mindful of the business, private and residential parking in downtown area.
About the Festival
Limited seating is available around the event. Festival-goers are urged to bring their own folding or camping chairs. It is also recommended that attendees buy their food and drink tickets early to avoid long lines. Tickets for food and beverages will go on sale at various booths throughout downtown when the Festival opens. Credit/debit cards will be accepted at all of the ticket booths. We encourage everyone to recycle their plastic and aluminum while at the Festival, so recycling bins will also be placed everywhere a trash bin can be found. No pets or firearms are allowed at this year’s Festival. If you bring them to the Festival you will be asked to leave.

Friday, April 17 5–10 p.m.
Saturday, April 18 10 a.m.–8 p.m.
