CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Road crews will be working on Interstate 24 east of Clarksville for the next several days, resurfacing the roadway.

The resurfacing project is on I-24 from west of Trough Springs Road to the Robertson County line, according to the Tennessee Department of Transportation.

Work will continue nightly, 8 p.m.-5 a.m., with alternating lane closures eastbound and westbound from mile marker 11 to 17 for scoring the shoulders, installing pavement markings, and placing thermoplastic.

Other projects

Here are some other TDOT updates for Montgomery County:

Highway 149: Ongoing continuous repair of the bridge on Highway 149 over Yellow Creek. The bridge will be reduced to one lane in order to demo and reconstruct the old bridge deck. Traffic will be controlled by temporary signals.

Madison Street and MLK Parkway: Intersection improvements are continuing with grading, drainage and construction of retaining walls at the intersection of Madison (U.S. 41A) and MLK (Highway 76). Work is daily, 9 a.m.-3 p.m., with temporary lane closures.

Highway 48: Ongoing continuous repair of the bridges on Highway 48 over Bartons Creek and Louise Creek. The bridges will be reduced to one lane in order to demo the old bridge and reconstruct. Traffic will be controlled by temporary signals at each bridge.
