CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Developers of the planned Riverview Square, a 4-acre mixed-use development downtown at 50 College St., announced Tuesday that they plan to open by 2024 with retail stores, restaurants, entertainment venues, a full-service hotel and a parking garage.
“The original idea behind Riverview Square was to build a go-to destination to complement the new F&M Bank Arena,” Philip Welker, co-founder of BNA Associates, said in a news release. “We don’t take for granted the city’s partnership and support with this revitalizing initiative. We are eager to continue sharing updates on the construction phase as we bring our vision to life for the Clarksville community.”
In partnership with Oliver Hospitality, the development will include 55,000 square feet of retail, dining and entertainment space. With plans to renovate the existing hotel property in partnership with DoubleTree by Hilton, a 156-room full-service hotel overlooking the Cumberland River will feature a 4,000-square-foot ballroom, an upscale restaurant and additional meeting spaces. To ensure increased traffic is met with proper accommodation, a 724-space parking garage is planned.
“Introducing new hospitality and entertainment to this area is an exciting addition to our portfolio, and we’re proud to have this opportunity alongside our incredible partners,” said Ethan Orley, co-founder of BNA Associates. “The growth throughout the county is amazing to watch. Our team is honored to be a part of it.”
In addition to BNA Associates, the Riverview Square project team includes Oliver Hospitality, Skanska, The Johnson Studio, Lyle Cook Martin, Cooper Cary, Catalyst Design, S&ME, Cummings, Hilton, Bradley Arant Bolt Cummings, OJAS Partners, and King & Spaulding.
The groundbreaking for Riverview Square was held on Jan. 25. The team anticipates the completion and opening of the full development to take place by 2024.
