CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Clarksville’s first Riverfront Jerk Festival will be held Saturday, Sept. 26 at McGregor Park.

The festivities are planned for 1-11 p.m.

Various food vendors will sell jerk chicken, jerk pork, curry, roti, and tons of other Caribbean, Puerto Rican, Cuban, and Mexican dishes.

Guests can enjoy live music from steel pan players, reggae and Soca bands, salsa bands, and Latin bands.

Q108 and Z95.5 will host live broadcasts from the event throughout the day.

Those with a flair for cooking can compete in the Best Jerk competition. The winner will be crowned the jerk food king or queen until the next festival.

Visitors can also enter the grand prize drawing for a Caribbean Getaway. One ticket entry per person. Multiple ticket holders will be disqualified. Ticket must be redeemed at the event to qualify.
