CLARKSVILLE, Tenn (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Riverfest returns to Clarksville September 5-7, bringing music, games, food, vendors and more. Clarksville Parks and Recreation has released information on parking for the festival as well as some rules that guests should be aware of.
Road Closures
On Friday, September 6, and Saturday, September 7, beginning at 6 a.m, both southbound lanes and the center turning lane of Riverside Drive will be closed. Only one northbound and one southbound lane will be open for two way traffic.
From 7 p.m. until midnight, Riverside Drive will be closed to through traffic from Spring Street to College Street. After midnight, the far Southbound lane of Riverside Drive will remain closed.
Parking and Shuttles
Free parking will be available at APSU campus on Home Avenue, directly off of College Street. Shuttles carrying guests to the RiverWalk will run every 30-45 minutes on Saturday from 11:45 a.m. to 11:15 p.m. For exact pick-up locations, visit the event website.
Riverfest parking will not be permitted at Two Rivers Business Center at any time or at Riverside Drive businesses during their business hours. Handicap parking will be available at designated parking lots directly across from McGregor Park.
Festival Policies
Parks and Recreation would like to remind guests of some rules for Riverfest 2019.
- No pets are allowed, though service animals are permitted.
- No outside alcoholic beverages are allowed.
- No coolers are allowed.
- No weapons are allowed, except as provided by TCA 39-17-13-51.
- No roaming solicitation is allowed.
- No flash photography, camcorders, or recording devices during headline concerts (after 8 p.m.)
- No drones
- No amplification devices
Any violations of these policies could result in expulsion from the festival.c
