CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Riverfest 2018 kicks off Thursday, Sept. 6 with the Riverfest Juried Art Show.
RIVERFEST 2018: What you need to know about the festival
This free event will be at 5 p.m. at the Wilma Rudolph Event Center at Liberty Park and feature art from local talent.
Food and drinks will be available for purchase.
The Riverfest Juried Art Show showcases the work of local artists in four divisions: professional, amateur, senior, and youth. The following categories will be on display:
• Photography and Digital Media.
• Painting (includes acrylic, oil, and watercolor).
• Drawing.
• 2D Mixed Media.
• 3D Sculpture and Fiber Arts.
First, second, and third place will be awarded in each of the five categories for each division. Monetary awards will be given for division overalls, first place, second place, and third place in the professional, amateur, and youth divisions. Monetary awards will also be given to one Best in Show winner from the professional or amateur division and one from the senior division. Recognition will be given for first place, second place, and third place in the senior division.
