Major (Ret.) Ricke Lee Whaley, age 76, of Clarksville, TN passed away Friday, November 24, 2023, at Tennova Hospital in Clarksville, TN.
Ricke was born September 6, 1947, in Oakland, CA, to the late Harold Edward Whaley and Marylee Donoho. Ricke is also preceded in death by a son, Kenneth Whaley, and two daughters: Marie Paige and Michelle Paige.
Mr. Whaley is survived by his wife, Jane, his best friend of 73 years, Pat, son, Ronald F. Paige II (Alice), daughters; Petra Whaley-Cogar (James), Kimberlee Whaley (Joshua), Lynsee Knowlton (James), and Heather Whaley (Krystal), brothers; Gary Whaley and Denzil Whaley, eight grandchildren; Nichole, Kyle, Ariyanna, Patience, Noëlle, Zachary, Cameron, and Alex, and great-grandchildren; Karmah, Camden, Jason, Katie, and one on the way, Rosalyn.
Major Whaley retired from the US Army, a veteran of Vietnam and Desert Storm, and was also an RN, with his Bachelor of Science in Nursing working for the US Government until retirement.
A memorial service will be held at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home Tuesday, December 5, 2023, at 1:30 PM. Viewing will be held Monday, December 4, 2023, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM and Tuesday, December 5, 2023, from 11:00 AM until the hour of service at the funeral home.
