CLARKSVILLE, TN − The Taekwondo World Championship 2025 took place in Ontario, Canada, from May 31 to June 2 of this year, with the participation of over 35 countries and around 700 athletes.
Among the standout countries were Canada, Italy, the United States, and Ethiopia. Representing Clarksville, Jaden A. Hernández made his hometown proud by winning a silver medal in forms and a gold medal in sparring, becoming the Junior Black Belt champion.
Now, this young athlete will take a two-month break before starting his high-performance training for the next World Championship, which will take place in November in San Juan, Puerto Rico. He will be accompanied by the U.S. national team, which includes eight participants from Clarksville.
