Richard W. Carlsen, 81, of Clarksville, TN, passed away on Friday, August 21, 2015, at St. Thomas-West Hospital in Nashville, TN.
Richard was born on May 12, 1934, in Huntington Park, CA to the late Wendall Carlsen and Lorriane Montgomery Carlsen. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Ellen Carlsen.
Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Chapel with Rev. Steve Lannom officiating. Burial will be at Kentucky Veterans Cemetery-West in Hopkinsville, KY with full military honors. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 26, 2015, from 10:00 a.m. until the hour of service at the funeral home.
Richard courageously served our country and was a Retired U.S. Army Veteran.
Richard is survived by his children, Michael Carlsen, David Carlsen, Richard Carlsen, Suzan Zumido of California, Rick Sutton, and Kim Sutton of Clarksville, TN; brother, Arnie Carlsen of Colorado; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
