CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – Rewind 94.3 will set up a free coat shop for people in need of winter coats Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Riverview Inn in downtown Clarksville.

The radio station partnered with several local businesses to collect coats through December and planned to set up a shop for people to receive free coats Saturday. However, due to frigid weather predictions, Rewind 94.3 has rescheduled the coat distribution in order to meet the current need.

“We have single-digit temperatures hitting Clarksville this week. We need to get these coats to people now,” said Rewind 94.3 personality CC Carmack.

People in need of winter coats can come to the Riverview Inn at 50 College Street and receive a free coat and blanket while supplies last.

Those interested in donating coats can drop them off at the same location at 50 College Street.

Local warming shelters have several beds available for those without shelter. Representatives from shelters like the Salvation Army, Room at the Inn, Buffalo Valley, and Manna Café Ministries will be on hand Tuesday evening to accept monetary donations.
