CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – While police are actively pursuing leads in the slaying of 23-year-old Army Pfc. Katia Duenas Aguilar, they have not yet made an arrest or released the name of a suspect.
“With regards to the integrity of the investigation, specific information will not be released, this is an active and ongoing investigation,” CPD spokesman Officer Scott Beaubien said Tuesday.
At about 8:33 p.m. on May 18, police responded to an ambulance call in the 900 block of Tiny Town Road, according to previous reports. Inside the residence was a deceased female, Duenas Aguilar, and the incident has been determined to be a homicide.
Since then, the League of United Latin American Citizens, (LULAC), has announced it would reward any information that leads to an arrest and conviction with $25,000. The family of Duenas Aguilar has offered an additional $30,000 reward.
