UPDATE: Suspect in custody after police pursuit, gunfire in Clarksville

The Clarksville Police Department is asking individuals that live in the Calvert Drive, and Britton Springs area to stay in their houses until further notice.

Update, 9 a.m., Monday: The driver has been identified as 40-year-old Donald James Robinson, according to MCSO spokesperson Sandra Brandon.

Update, 9:20 p.m.: The suspect is in custody, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies were searching the area of Britton Springs Road and Garrettsburg Road, according to MCSO.

CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – The Clarksville Police Department is asking individuals that residents in the Calvert Drive and Britton Springs area in northwest Clarksville to stay in their houses until further notice.

CPD is assisting the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office and Stewart County Sheriff’s Office in looking for a possibly armed and dangerous individual after a pursuit, according to a news release from CPD Sgt. Charles Gill.

This individual has fired at officers.
