CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A repeat offender with a lengthy criminal history has been arrested again for five vehicle burglaries in Clarksville.

The break-ins occurred between Feb. 5 and 6 in the area of Shadowlawn Ct. and Ambleside Dr.

After video surveillance footage was released to the public from one of the vehicle burglaries, police received information pointing them to 20-year-old Jacob Herdman.

Police linked Herdman to five burglaries with more than $1,200 in stolen property.

Officers located him Tuesday and he tried to flee on foot but was quickly caught and taken into custody at Dover and Walker roads. He was booked into the Montgomery County Jail and charged with theft, vehicle burglary, and violation of probation. His bond was set at $55,000.

Herdman has a lengthy criminal history involving theft, vehicle burglary, and violation of probation.
