CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Incumbent State Representative Joe Pitts has announced his endorsement of Commissioner Jason Hodges in the upcoming primary and general elections.

Hodges is running for Representative Pitts’ current seat in House District 67.

Hodges graduated from Northeast High School, and joined the United States Marine Corps after high school. Upon leaving the Marine Corps, he graduated cum laude, from Austin Peay State University with a Bachelor of Science degree in Political Science. He is currently an operations manager for the Clarksville-Montgomery County School System.

“The issues we care deeply about, education, access to affordable health care, and veterans are important to Jason. His campaign is built upon focusing on these issues as well as infrastructure,” Pitts said in his endorsement.

“Jason has demonstrated he works well with his colleagues on the County Commission, regardless of ideology, and when there is disagreement, he does not personalize his concern, but stays focused on the issues. Service in the Tennessee General Assembly should be about representing everyone in the district, spending time understanding the issues, and voting according to the greater good, and not serving a narrow, special interest agenda or political party,” he continued.
