This year’s Riverfest Tour d’Art Exhibits and Competition will feature the following three exhibits: Amateur & Professional Divisions, High School Division, and the Senior Citizens’ Division. Artwork is displayed at exhibits at various locations in downtown Clarksville, and then juried, and over $2,500 in prizes is awarded.

The Amateur & Professional Division exhibit will be hosted by the Smith-Trahern Mansion September 6 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and September 7 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Artists may enter in six categories: Painting & Watercolor, Drawing, 3D/Fiber Arts, Mixed Media & Print Collage, Digital Photography and Film Photography. Monetary awards are given to first through third place in each category (for each division) as well as a Best of Show Award and purchase awards are being offered by Farmers & Merchants Bank, Legends Bank, Neal Tarpley Funeral Directors, and Planters Bank. Entries will be accepted September 2 at the Smith-Trahern Mansion from noon–3 p.m. The exhibit is sponsored by Legends Bank, the Smith-Trahern Mansion and the Arts & Heritage Development Council.

The High School Division Art Division exhibit will be hosted by the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center September 6 from 10 a.m.-8 p.m. and September 7 from 10 a.m.-5 p.m. The competition includes five categories: Photography & Digital Images, Sculpture, Painting, Mixed Media/Collage, and Drawing. Limit is 10 entries per school. Monetary awards are given to first through third place in each category (for each division) as a Best of Show Award. Artwork will be accepted August 28-30 from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. at the Clarksville Parks and Recreation Department main office. The exhibit is sponsored by the Customs House Museum & Cultural Center, Legends Bank, the Clarksville Department of Electricity and the Arts & Heritage Development Council.

The Senior Citizen Art Exhibit will be hosted by the Downtown Artist’s Co-Op September 5 from noon-6 p.m. and September 6 & 7 from noon-5 p.m. All seniors ages 65 and up, residing in Montgomery County and surrounding counties; are encouraged to participate. There is no cost to enter this competition. Ribbons will be awarded for first through third place in four categories: Photography, Painting & Watercolor, Drawing, and 3D/Fiber Arts. The exhibit is sponsored by the Downtown Artist’s Co-Op and the Clarksville Arts & Heritage Development Council.
