CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Registration is now open for the Wonder Kids Triathlon hosted by Clarksville Parks & Recreation. Boys and girls ages 3-12 can compete Saturday, August 3 beginning at 9:00 a.m. at New Providence Pool, 168 Cunningham Lane.

Wonder Kids triathletes will participate in the three segments of a traditional triathlon: swimming, biking and running. Each course varies depending on the participant’s age.

The three-year-old to five-year-old division will include a 25-meter swim, quarter mile bike ride, and 100-yard-run.

The six-year-old to eight-year-old division includes a 50-meter swim, half mile bike ride, and quarter mile run.

The nine-year-old to 12-year-old division includes a 100-meter swim, one-mile bike ride, and half mile run.

The cost to participate is $30 per child and pre-registration is required. Spots are limited so register early.

Those interested may register in-person at the Clarksville Parks & Recreation office, 102 Public Square; at any of the City’s three recreation centers; or online at www.cityofclarksville.com/parksrec. Deadline to register is July 14. Participants must be registered by July 1 to guarantee correct size shirt. Participants must provide their own bike.
