FORT CAMPBELL, Ky. – The Mickey Fisher Memorial Tournament is an annual golf tournament hosted to create awareness for our fallen soldiers and for our local military families to send their children to Austin Peay State University.
This year’s event will be held July 10 and 11 at Cole Park Golf Course.
The Clarksville Montgomery County and Fort Campbell community and local businesses along with other outside vendors help make this tournament and endowment possible every year.
Mickey Fisher was a family man, and organizers like to keep this quality alive through the tournament. His wife Mary and three sons, Bret, Ryne, and Hunter are all involved by helping make this tournament possible and by also playing in memory of their Dad.
Each year a new recipient is selected to receive $5,000 annually for 4 years while attending Austin Peay. The scholarship is renewable annually as long as the student maintains a 3.0 GPA and full-time enrollment status. Over their four years at Austin Peay, each recipient will receive a total of $20,000 permitting they maintain the criteria required.
