CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) Registration is now open for the next series of classes in American Sign Language at Austin Peay State University.
“ASL is a beautiful, useful, and extremely beneficial language to learn,” said teacher Laura Farley, who is deaf. She said the class is especially helpful to teachers, nurses, and social workers, or any job that requires continuing education.
Classes are open for 13 years and up. All classes are $149 for approximately 24 hours of instruction.
ASL Beginners 1 – August 29 – October 5. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
ASL Beginners 2 – August 28- October 4. Classes are held on Monday and Wednesday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
ASL Intermediate 1 – August 29-October 5 Classes are held on Tuesday and Thursday from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
