Registration will end soon for two Parks and Recreation basketball programs. The deadline for the Twilight Basketball men’s league is October 3, and the deadline for the Youth Basketball League is October 6.

Practices for the Youth League will be at local school gymnasiums beginning November 3, with games being held at the City’s three community centers starting December 6. Parents will be contacted by coaches prior to the start of games to let them know where and when their children will practice. The cost is $65 per player. Each player will receive a team shirt, water bottle and award. Coaches are also needed for the program. Parks and Recreation will offer training at 6 p.m. October 14 and 16 at Freedom Point in Liberty Park. Interested coaches may contact Athletic Coordinator, Albert Casillas at the Parks & Recreation Main Office. The league is made possible by Clarksville Parks & Recreation and the following sponsors: Daymar Institute, Clarksville Police Department, Friendly Reminder, and Medical Direct CARE, PLC Family Medicine Practice.

Twilight Basketball, a new opportunity for basketball enthusiasts ages 18 and older, will be from 5 p.m. until 10 p.m. at the Kleeman Center, located at 166 Cunningham Lane, Fridays October 17-December 29. Players can register as a 7-player team or as an individual. The program will end in playoff and championship rounds. During halftime, teams will be motivated by guest speakers. The cost is $350 per team and $60 to sign up as an individual to be placed on a team.

Online registration for both programs is available here.

For the Youth League, onsite registration is also available at any of the three Community Centers, as well as at the Parks & Recreation Main Office. Registrants must bring their birth certificate for age verification if they are registering for the program for the first time. The Main Office is located at 102 Public Square and is open from 8 a.m. until 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
