CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – August 13, 2015 – Clarksville Mayor Kim McMillan and Montgomery County Mayor Jim Durrett joined leaders from Regions Bank Thursday to break ground for a new Regions branch along Lowes Drive next to Wilma Rudolph Boulevard.
Once completed, the branch will replace the current modular banking facility that was established following a fire at Regions’ previous Lowes Drive location. The new branch is expected to open by the end of the first quarter of 2016, with the adjacent drive-through portion projected to be completed during the second quarter of 2016.
“We are excited to break ground and move forward with plans for a modern banking facility designed to meet the needs of our customers here in Clarksville,” said Carolyn Pierce, Clarksville city president for Regions Bank. “This new branch will combine innovative technology with the personal service that is so important in banking. We are grateful for the support of the Clarksville community, and we look forward to serving our community from this new facility.”
The branch, located at 2155 Lowes Drive, will be a full-service facility staffed with banking professionals dedicated to helping customers achieve their financial goals.
The branch will also be the first Regions facility in the Clarksville area to offer Regions’ new Video Teller service. Video Tellers connect customers with a Regions representative via live two-way video. Along with processing most teller transactions, these representatives can help customers with account maintenance and general inquiries.
Video Teller representatives provide expanded access to banking services as they are available during extended hours on weekdays (until 8 p.m. CT). They are also available on Saturdays, Sundays and most holidays.
The Lowes Drive Branch will also offer a Regions DepositSmart ATM. In addition to dispensing cash, the Regions DepositSmart ATM can accept deposits and cash multiple checks for customers at any time, day or night.
“This new facility reflects our commitment to Clarksville,” Pierce added. “Whether it’s serving customers online, through our mobile channels, or face-to-face in our branch locations, Regions is dedicated to helping people reach their financial goals. Our Lowes Drive location is an important part of our efforts to serve and support the community where we live and work.”
