CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Regal Cinemas 16 is reopening on April 23 in north Clarksville after being closed for nearly a year due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
“We’re just excited to get back. A lot of my staff is coming back,” general manager Curtis Ewing told Clarksville Now. “We’re going to keep things friendly and safe with good food and good movies.”
At reopening, Regal will be screening “Godzilla vs. Kong,” “Unholy” and “Mortal Kombat,” which opens that Friday. More movies are expected to be announced soon, including some special, limited-time screenings like “Fried Green Tomatoes.”
Regal will also begin offering opportunities for groups to rent out a theater for private screenings, though a price for this service has yet to be announced.
Ewing said Regal Clarksville will most likely operate at 50% capacity for the time being and operate under CinemaSafe cleaning standards.
“Other than that, it’s business as usual,” said Ewing. “Everything else should be pretty much as it was before we closed the building.”
