CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – The American Red Cross was forced to cancel nearly all of the blood drives that were scheduled in Middle Tennessee last week due to the winter weather.

Due to the cancellations, the agency is short hundreds of units of blood.

Since Feb. 16, when the first round of winter weather hit the Mid-State, the American Red Cross had to cancel more than 90 blood drives.

The Red Cross is encouraging all eligible donors to help.

In Clarksville you can give blood at the Two Rivers Chapter of the American Red Cross at 1760 Madison Street where a weekly blood drive is held every Monday from 10:30 am to 4:30 pm.
