CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The Clarksville-Montgomery County Education Association (CMCEA) hosted a welcome reception Tuesday for the new Director of Clarksville-Montgomery County Schools, Millard House II. Over 100 teachers, community leaders and supporters of education had the opportunity to meet and get to know House and spend some time with him in a casual setting at Freedom Point in Liberty Park.

Constance Brown, spokesperson for the education association said it was an opportunity to welcome the new director and show him the hospitality of the groups members, adding it was also a chance for House to get a flavor of Clarksville, as well as what the school system and the association is all about.

House said for him it was an exciting evening and he felt welcomed. “Tonight allowed me to meet teachers from throughout the district that have the same focus that any educator would in this county and that’s to ensure our kids are first, and to ensure we push as hard as possible to make sure our kids are college and career ready,” said House.
