CLARKSVILLE, TN − REBOOT Recovery, a national nonprofit dedicated to helping people heal from trauma, has launched its “Answer the Call” campaign, a fundraising initiative aimed at overhauling and relaunching its First Responder REBOOT program. This vital mental health initiative supports firefighters, police officers, EMTs, 911 dispatchers, and others who are battling burnout, trauma, and alarming suicide rates at unprecedented levels.

The campaign aims to raise $20,000 by June 21 to fully redesign the REBOOT First Responders curriculum. This updated version will feature fresh, relevant content, impactful video stories, modernized participant workbooks, and new teaching formats tailored for today’s first responders. The enhanced curriculum will directly address pressing challenges such as chronic stress, staffing shortages, and the emotional toll of daily crisis response, providing tools for long-term resilience and healing.

“When everyone else is running away, First Responders run toward danger. But right now, they’re the ones in need of rescue,” said Adam Davis, bestselling author, former law enforcement officer, and national advocate for First Responder mental health. “Answering their call for help is the least we can do.”

Since 2018, REBOOT’s First Responder program has helped more than 6,000 First Responders across the U.S. and abroad, but the curriculum is now due for a major overhaul based on new research, feedback from graduates, and the shifting demands of First Responder work.

“We started this program because we knew there had to be a better way,” said Evan Owens, cofounder of REBOOT Recovery. “Now, it’s time to take it to the next level. With this campaign, we’re reimagining what healing can look like for those who serve on the frontlines of our communities.”

Prominent leaders and influencers have stepped up to support the campaign, including:

  • Adam Davis – Author, speaker, and advocate for law enforcement mental health; co-author of Behind the Badge.
  • The Dettwiller Foundation – A philanthropic organization founded by Fred Dettwiller, supporting faith, education, the arts, health, and first responders through community-focused grants and programs.

“Answer the Call” will shine a light on the very real mental health battles First Responders face—and how communities can be part of the solution. To learn more or to donate, visit www.rebootrecovery.com/donate.
