Rebecca Thomas Keene, 63, of Clarksville, TN went to be with the Lord on June 18, 2015, at her residence after a 5 year battle with Cancer.
Becky was born October 2, 1951 in Nashville, TN, daughter of the late Joseph O. Thomas and Bobby F. Thomas.
Mrs. Keene was a graduate of Peabody College at Vanderbilt. She taught life skills classes at East Montgomery Elementary, Richview Middle, and Clarksville High Schools. Becky was a member at First Presbyterian Church.
Becky is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Charles D. Keene; daughter, Rebecca Keene McClure (Brian) of Nashville, TN; son, Charles Thomas Keene (Margo) of Clarksville; three grandchildren, Margaret Nysa Keene, Millicent Rose Keene and Charles Mizell Keene; sister, Janice Thomas Hardie (Jimmy), Milledgeville, GA; two nieces, Shelley Hardie Pool (Cliff) and Amy Hardie Bass (Spencer); two great nieces; and two great nephews.
A Celebration of Life memorial service will be held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, June 23, at First Presbyterian Church, with Pastor Stewart Salyer and Pastor Greg Glover officiating. Visitation will be from 3 p.m. until 6 p.m. on Monday, June 22 at Neal-Tarpley-Parchman Funeral Home, and from 3 p.m. until the hour of service at First Presbyterian Church.
Becky chose to have her body donated to Vanderbilt University Medical School. Interment will be at a later date.
