CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – The Clarksville Association of Realtors (CAR) today reports that the average price of sold homes continued to rise, climbing 7.3 percent over August 2015.

The organization said 421 homes changed hands in Clarksville-Montgomery County in August 2016.

For August 2016, the average time to sell a property was 75 days, which is 19.3 percent fewer days than for the month of June 2016. In August 2016, the average price of sold homes fell slightly, 1.8 percent from July 2016.

“Clarksville-Montgomery County has had an extremely busy real estate market for some time,” said Kayla Goad, 2016 President of the Clarksville Association of Realtors. “Our community continues to grow. Home buyers and sellers have had a great summer, and our realtors are helping people buy and sell homes at a record pace.”

The Clarksville Association of Realtors has over 761 active REALTOR members and 67 Affiliate Partners that work together to improve the public awareness of the value of realtors to the community.
