1st Lieutenant Raymond “Ray” Morris Kresge, age 92 of Erin, TN, passed away Monday, July 19, 2021, at his residence while surrounded by his loving family.
A celebration of his life will be held at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, July 22, 2021, at the Chapel of Nave Funeral Home with Bro. Jason Pounds and Bro. Paul Moody officiating. Burial will follow in Cedar Hill Cemetery with full military honors.
The Kresge family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. and again from 9:00 a.m. until the hour of service Thursday morning at the funeral home.
Ray entered this life on April 3, 1929, in Bethlehem, PA, son of the late Charles and Ada Kresge. Ray proudly served his country in the United States Marine where he retired after 33 years of service to his country.
In addition to his parents, Ray was preceded in death by his son, Brian Keith Kresge.
Survivors include his loving wife, Mildred Kresge; children, Rita Kresge (Barry) Wagner, Ray Kresge, Kathleen Tesreau, Diane Speicher, Michael Kresge, Barry (Juanita) Kresge, Kevin Kresge, Christopher Mark Kresge; step-children, Kurt (Jennifer) Stryker, Erik (Freda) Stryker; and daughter in law, Shelly Kresge. Ray also leaves behind eighteen grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.
Serving as pallbearers are Dr. Dan Martin, Scott Davis, Barry Morrison, Kerry Powell, Charlie Ligon, G.E. Clark, and Dr. Mark Turney.
