CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Ravenwood Coffee and Creations will close the doors at their Wilma Rudolph Boulevard store on Aug. 14, but the family- and veteran-owned coffee shop will reopen in a new location.

In late July, the Jennett family, owners of Ravenwood, announced they would be shutting down due to financial hardships from the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as the building they lease at 1525 Wilma Rudolph Blvd. being sold to a new owner. The business closing would have created unemployment for their seven baristas and take away a local place for the community to gather and have a cup of coffee or unique drink or treat.

The local coffee shop, known for their homemade syrups, Black Rifle Coffee and medieval ambiance, was voted the 2019 “Best Place to Get a Cup of Coffee” in Clarksville.

They asked the community to help keep them open through a GoFundMe campaign, and the community donated more than 10 percent of their $50,000 goal. With additional funding, the coffeehouse will relocate instead of closing down.

“We found a place at 2609B Fort Campbell Blvd. and we are working on (it),” the owners said in a message. “(We) are getting it setup and are applying for additional funding. We are hoping we won’t be closed for too long.”
