MIDDLE TENNESSEE – The National Weather Service in Nashville says an active weather pattern looks to be in store for Middle Tennessee through the next seven days.

Unseasonably warm temperatures are expected into this weekend, with temperatures expected to be around record high values of 71 degrees on Saturday afternoon.

A frontal system will move through the area on Sunday night, bringing with it widespread showers with moderate rainfall and some isolated thunderstorms also. Some of those thunderstorms may be strong with gusty winds.

Some showers are likely to linger through Monday.
