CLARKSVILLE, ten. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) The National Weather Service is forecasting a chance of strong or brief severe storms Wednesday night into Thursday morning. Locally heavy rain is also possible for the area, but widespread flooding is not expected.
Meteorologist Josh Barnwell talked about storms for the week. “During the day Wednesday we’ll see some scattered thunderstorms and later in the afternoon and evening time frame it looks like there could be some strong to severe thunderstorms,” said Barnwell.
Barnwell added the main threat will be damaging wind gusts and hail. Late in the week the rain chances will be lower along with warmer temperatures heading into the weekend.
