CLARKVILLENOW, Tenn. – (CLARKSVILLENOW) When radio personality Tiffany Hill left Clarksville’s Z97.5 for the mountains of North Carolina two summers ago, she thought she’d found her forever home.
The 30-year radio veteran has worked in many cities, but none with the emotional pull of Clarksville and Z97.5.
“I have bonded with this station more than any other in all my years of doing this,” Hill said. “I came back for a visit and realized how much I missed it. Not just the city, but all the people at the station who are really a family.”
Then a Clarksville opportunity knocked again.
The offer was not just for her old morning show job back, but to take over Z97.5 as Program Director.
“I would put the talent at Z97.5 and all the people behind the scenes at 5 Star Media up against any major market talent that I’ve worked with, so it was a very easy decision,” Hill said.
Clarksville was always a good fit for Hill. She had an immediate connection to local soldiers, and loves the small town feel and the listeners who flood the switchboards when she’s on air.
“Clarksville loves to rock!” she said.
“We are thrilled to have Tiffany back at 5 Star and in her new role as Program Director,” said 5 Star Media General Manager Katie Gambill, adding “She is a talent radio personality and I’m confident with her experience she is the perfect person to lead Z97.5.”
As Program Director, Hill will select the music for the station, coach talent, and design station promotions.
“My goal is to deepen our ties with the military and Fort Campbell and make everything we do more Clarksville-centric,” she said.
