CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – Radical Mission is hosting a Grocery Shopping Experience for those persons in Clarksville-Montgomery County who are in need of food.
The event will be held Saturday, August 29 from 10 a.m.-1 p.m. inside Community of Hope Church at 150 Richview Road.
Members of the community are asked to bring their ID and they will be able to shop for groceries at no cost. There will also be many pantry and refrigerated food options as well as personal hygiene items.
Social distancing guidelines, including wearing masks, will be practiced and encouraged.
“This shopping experience will allow families to shop and select food versus being given a prefilled food box. We are hoping to create a loving and prayerful environment to show our community dignity, respect, honor and grace,” said Jon Vaughn with Radical Mission.
Vaughn added that Radical Mission has bigger plans than to just give away food and they want their neighbors to know they care about their needs. They want to not only offer food assistance, but to also offer friendship and support.
