CLARKSVILLE, Tenn.- The mission of the Quilts of Valor Foundation is to cover service members and veterans touched by war with healing and comforting Quilts of Valor.
Quilts of Valor is unlike any other military service award because rather than placing it in a box, it is to be a daily reminder of the gratitude felt for the heroes service.
Everyone involved in the Quilts of Valor Foundation, from the quilt makers all the way up to the highest staff member, is a volunteer. The men and women in the organization give of their time, talent, and resources to ensure that those who dedicate their lives to protect and defend the United States of America are thanked, honored, and appreciated.
“During the 2016 year, 175 Quilts of Valor have been awarded in Clarksville, but we know there are many more deserving of this honor. It is our hope that our group continues to grow, that support continues to come in, and that our Quilts of Valor will cover more Clarksville service members and veterans in 2017.”
