CLARKSVILLE, TN (CLARKSVILLE NOW) – Over 30 people, including on-air talent from Q108, put their artistic skills to work at River City Clay on Thursday to paint an empty bowl for the annual Empty Bowls Clarksville’s fundraiser event.

Guests showed up to paint a bowl for $8 each with all of those proceeds going towards Urban Ministries, Loaves and Fishes and the Food Initiative.

People who attend the fundraiser meals from Feb. 20-26 will bring one of these bowls painted by community members in several such events.

Here are the dates and locations for this year.

Sunday, Feb. 20, dinner, 5:30-7 p.m.:

Tuesday, Feb. 22, lunch, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.:

  • Trinity Episcopal, 317 Franklin St.
  • Grace Lutheran, 2041 Madison St.
  • New Providence United Methodist, 1317 Fort Campbell Blvd.

Tuesday, Feb. 22, dinner, 4:30-7 p.m.:

  • Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, 3242 Highway 41A South
  • First Presbyterian, 213 Main St.
  • Sango United Methodist, 3301 Sango Road
  • Salem Community Church, 2269 7 Mile Ferry Road

Saturday, Feb. 26, lunch, 11 a.m.-1 p.m.:

  • Hilldale United Methodist, 1751 Madison St.
