CLARKSVILLE, Tenn. (CLARKSVILLENOW) – A brand new morning show launches next week on Q108 to help you start the day. Sari and Tom in the Morning debuts on Monday, Jan. 11, featuring Clarksville newcomers Sari Rose and Tom Dupree.
“I’m so excited about the opportunity to connect with the people of Clarksville, Hopkinsville and Fort Campbell,” Sari said. “Hopefully, Tom and I can give you something to smile about, even on challenging mornings when the kids aren’t acting right or you’re late to work.”
Meet Sari
Sari was born and raised in small-town Georgia and understands the value of community. She recently moved to Clarksville with her husband and their three “rescue fur babies.”
She said Saturdays were made for college football (“Go Dawgs!”) and is happiest tailgating with friends or lying on the beach with a good book and a drink in her hand. When you see Sari outside the studio, it will probably be at the gym or yoga studio, since health and wellness are passions of hers. It could also be at the grocery in the baking aisle, picking up ingredients for chocolate chip cookies because everybody needs balance.
Sari is looking forward to all the outdoor adventure spots Clarksville has to offer and finding a place in her new community.
Meet Tom
Tom said listeners can expect lots of laughs and excitement.
“I can’t wait to start the morning show with Sari! I’m super excited for this opportunity.”
Tom has been on a radio journey that started back in 2003 when he realized that his dream of becoming a professional baseball player and a famous musician was over. He went into broadcasting and was in the first graduating class of the Connecticut School of Broadcasting in Tampa, Florida, and was the first to get a radio station internship. He got his start in Tampa at Star 95.7 doing promotions. From there he went on to do afternoon and weekend shows at Florida radio stations in Citrus County, Tampa, Gainesville and Orlando.
Tom is moving to Clarksville with his wife, Jessica, and sons Maddux and yet-to-be-named baby Dupree, due in May.
“We’re all going through this crazy life together, and we just want to be that friend or family member starting your day off on a good note,” Tom said. “We have big things planned for this show!”
The new show replaces the Ryan and Gretchen Show, which ended Nov. 25 with the departure of Gretchen Cordy from radio and the promotion of Ryan Ploeckelman to Operations Manager for 5 Star Media Group.
Sari and Tom in the Morning will air from 6 to 10 a.m. Monday-Friday on Q108, 107.9 FM.
